Dear Mama –
Just a few lines to let you know that I am feeling fine and I hope you are feeling well. I havent had but one letter from you so far but I guess they are being held up in my moving. Our entire company is pulling out next week for a new camp many, many miles from here but I am not going.
I went up for a discharge today and I have to go before the C.O.O.[C.D.D.?] in the morning. Don’t be surprised if you hear of me getting out within the next few weeks. I am not working this afternoon but just waiting

around to see if I get moved over to S.C.U. in this camp or whether I have to get to the general hospital in L.A. for another check up. I hate like the devil to leave this outfit but I don’t care to take another 5,000 mile trip. As it is if I get out I will have one heck of a long train or bus ride but I am pretty sure that I will take a train. Mama, I am too excited to write so I will close until I hear more about what is going to happen to me.
