Dear Mama –
This leaves me feeling fine and I hope this finds you feeling much better by now. I got two letters from you today and I was glad to get them but you being sick keeps me worried. This is Sunday with nothing much to do although I had a few clothes to wash and iron. I don’t know for sure yet but I will probably be home around the first of the month. As for the the auto trip. I am not going to take it and so far I am planning on leaving from Los Angeles. We still haven’t drawn any pay yet so when I do get it I should have a pretty good roll.
(2)[Page 2]
Mama I am glad to hear that Gene likes the place better and I hope that he and TooToo does get married. We have had some pretty cool weather but today is a nice warm day with plenty of sunshine. The rainy season l starts out here shortly and I would like to be out of these mountains before then. Tell Janelle I was glad to hear from her and on my way home I will have to pick her up some little something. About all we have to do is go to the movies and I go about four times each week. When I get out I doubt if I will see that many in a years time.
(3)[Page 3]
Mama from now on until I get home you just take it easy and don’t do any work. After I get back all you will have to do is cook for me. Well, there isn’t much to write about so I will close for now.
Goodnight
Lots & lots of love & kisses
Bill
