Yesterday I was a table waiter in the morning and in the afternoon I had to wash out some of my clothes as we still can’t send any laundry. Tell Ola to be on the lookout for a bag with some of my stuff in it, coming by express. The first time I get a chance to get to the post office I will send her a money order to pay for it. This afternoon I took up tickets at the movies and made $100 and also got to see the show. Well, last night was about the coldest night I have seen out here and most of the people are hoping for snow so it will get a little warmer. A civilian that I work with wants me to go down to Tia Juana with he, his wife and another girl to eat supper one night this coming week so I will probably go with them. Down in Mexicali, Mexico, that Mrs. Drago used to sing about so much, you can get the best steaks in the country for about 80 cents in our money. We are right close to San Diego and out of all the Sailors and Marines there, I never see anyone that I know.
