Benin's apology was historic event
I read the article by Raymond Copson on the Clotilda, published Feb. 27, with great interest ("Clotilda: Last slave voyage). It is indeed part of Mobile's history, although not the part that Mobilians may be proud of. Nonetheless it is a part that has to be acknowledged and sought to be healed.
